Modelsvit 1:72 Dassault Mirage 2000 B is a kit of the two-seat trainer version of the French delta fighter. The model is supplied unassembled; paint and glue are needed to finish it.

Modelsvit has rounded out its line of delta fighters with the training version with a lengthened cockpit for two crew. The kit is injection-molded and comes with photo-etched parts and decals for the French Air Force, so the model can be built straight out of the box without further sets.
The Mirage 2000 came about as a light single-engine fighter with a tailless delta wing and an electronically controlled stability system, which made up for the drawbacks of a classic delta on landing. The two-seat B version first took off in 1980 and served to convert pilots onto the type. Because of the second seat it has a slightly longer fuselage and lost its built-in cannons, but it kept its other capabilities, so it could also be used for combat tasks. The French Air Force operated it throughout the service life of the single-seat versions.
The two-seat cockpit dominates the view from above, so it pays to use the photo-etched seat belts and to spend time on the instrument panels. The delta wing has extensive smooth areas where every unevenness in the filler shows, so sand the joints back in two passes. The gray camouflage of the French aircraft comes into its own when you shade the individual panels lightly and bring out the wing edges with a thin coat of a darker shade.
