Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Special Hobby. The edition The First Jet Guardians of Neutrality focuses on Vampires in the service of neutral states. The package contains gray and clear plastic sprues and a color decal sheet with several schemes. As with short-run sets, careful preparation of the parts is advisable.
The de Havilland Vampire was one of the first British jet fighters. Its twin-boom tail and short fuselage with the Goblin jet engine are characteristic. The Mk.I version became the first jet type in the service of two neutral countries, Switzerland and Sweden, which is what the subtitle of this edition recalls.
With a short-run set, clean the parts up first and try the fit dry. Glue with liquid cement for plastic, fill the gaps with putty and sand them down. Metallic and natural shades suit an airbrush, and the decals go on over a gloss clear coat. Mask the clear canopy and paint it last.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
