A precise detail set in 1:72 scale from the Polish maker MASTER. It is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory for raising the fidelity of a kit of the Dornier Do 335 B-2. The set holds a turned barrel of the MG 151 cannon, the muzzles of the MK 103 cannons, a FuG 25a antenna and a pitot tube. In the small 1:72 scale the fine metal parts replace coarser plastic features and sharpen the look of a model markedly. The exact breakdown of the parts follows the contents of the package.
The Dornier Do 335 B-2 was the heavily armed version of the German Do 335 Pfeil fighter from the end of the Second World War. Compared with the basic version it carried stronger 30 mm cannons. Characteristic was the tandem layout of two engines with a tractor and a pusher propeller.
In 1:72 scale the parts are very fine, so separate them carefully with a sharp tool, degrease them and give them a primer. Fit the barrels and the pitot tube only at the end of the build. The metal features suit being matched to steel shades and brought up with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
