RS Models 1:72 Dornier Do 22 is a plastic kit of a little-known German floatplane of the late 1930s.
Responsibility details are not available.
A short-run injection-molded plastic kit of the German aircraft Dornier Do 22 in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker RS Models. The real subject is one of the less common export types, which makes it an interesting addition to a collection. Because of the nature of a short-run mold it suits rather more experienced modelers.
The Dornier Do 22 was a German multipurpose aircraft of 1938 to 1939, built mainly for export. It was made in small numbers and served with foreign operators, among them Finland, Greece, Yugoslavia and Latvia. The machine could be operated as a floatplane or in a land version with fixed landing gear.
On a short-run kit, count on cleaning the parts up and dry-fitting them. Set the floats and their struts carefully so that the geometry is right. Use liquid cement for plastic and a primer before painting. The colorful national markings of the export machines are tempting; an airbrush makes clean masking easier.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
