Armory 1:72 Douglas A-20A Boston/Havoc wheels, early version — resin landing gear wheels in the early configuration for the American light bomber of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the manufacturer Armory replaces the landing gear wheels of an A-20 model with castings in resin in the early configuration, matching the A-20A version and other early machines. The fine drawing of the hubs will lift a landing gear that on a model with a nose wheel is clearly visible and draws attention.
The Douglas A-20 was an American twin-engine light bomber and attack aircraft. Under the British designation Boston and the American Havoc it served with the RAF, the United States Army Air Forces and in the Soviet Union, where it was delivered under Allied aid. The early A-20A version was among the first production configurations; as the aircraft developed, the details of the landing gear gradually changed too, which is why the manufacturer offers the wheels in several configurations according to the period of production.
Separate the wheels from the casting blocks with a fine saw and take the marks down with abrasive paper on a flat base so as not to bevel the contact area. Wash the parts with detergent and glue with super glue. A dark gray shade with dusting by pigments suits the tires; paint the hubs according to photographs of the particular machine.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The base kit of the aircraft is not included in the package.
