The MH models 1:72 Douglas Havoc Mk.II Turbinlite canopy airbrush mask is a set of masking templates for spraying the canopy glazing of a model of the Douglas Havoc Mk.II Turbinlite night fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely cut masking templates in 1:72 scale from MH models. This is not an airplane model but an accessory for painting the frames of the glazed canopy of a Douglas Havoc Mk.II Turbinlite model cleanly and quickly. The masks are shaped to fit that particular canopy, so the tedious cutting of strips of masking tape falls away and the edges of the frames come out sharp and even.
The Douglas Havoc Mk.II Turbinlite was the British night variant of the American Douglas Boston, fitted with a powerful searchlight in the nose. The searchlight was meant to light up an enemy bomber, which an accompanying fighter then destroyed. It was one of the attempts at solving night defense at the beginning of the Second World War, before airborne radar won through.
Lift the masks carefully off the sheet, place them on the individual glazed areas and press them down. We recommend putting the paint on with an airbrush in thin coats so that it does not run under the edge. Usually the interior shade is sprayed first, then the covering color of the frames. Once dry, peel the masks off; any adhesive residue can be removed by wiping it gently.
This is a masking accessory, not a model. Paints, glue and the kit itself are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
