An injection-molded plastic kit of the American Convair F-106A Delta Dart interceptor in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Hasegawa. The model captures the elegant delta wing, the characteristic nose and the internal weapons bay; the kit is completed by waterslide decals.
The Convair F-106A Delta Dart was an American single-seat supersonic interceptor of the Cold War. It served to defend the airspace of the United States against bombers and excelled in speed and ceiling thanks to a powerful engine and the delta wing. It carried its armament in an internal weapons bay and was tied into the air defense command and control system of the day.
Finish and paint the cockpit before closing the fuselage; sand the intake and the exhaust carefully so that no gaps appear. Natural metal surfaces are handled by a lacquer or enamel metallic coat over a smooth base; apply glossy silver areas at the very end and mask them with care. Pick out the panel lines with a discreet wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
