Resin engines for the F7F Tigercat in 1:72 scale from Quickboost. Accurate fronts for the radial engines; it is not an airplane model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail part, not an airplane kit. This finely cast resin set replaces the engine fronts of the American twin-engine Grumman F7F Tigercat fighter in 1:72 scale. The Tigercat was the first twin-engine fighter put into service with the US Navy and was powered by a pair of Pratt and Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp radial engines. The part is meant for more experienced modelers who work with resin.
On a twin-engine aircraft the fronts of the radial engines are clearly visible through the circular cowlings and the way they are rendered strongly affects the overall impression. The resin castings offer finely drawn cylinders and more three-dimensional depth than the simplified plastic from the box. Once painted in metallic shades and brought out with a wash, the engines gain depth and look convincing.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
