1:72 FlaK 30/38 with Sd.Ah.51 Trailer brings the German light anti-aircraft gun FlaK 30/38 together with the transport trailer Sd.Ah.51 in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings together two things that historically belonged with each other: the 2 cm anti-aircraft gun FlaK 30 and FlaK 38 and the single-axle transport trailer Sonderanhänger 51. Against the trailer on its own you therefore get a whole march combination, which can be built as an accessory to a towing vehicle or as a small item in its own right for a display case. The 1:72 scale means small dimensions and easy fitting into a larger scene.
The 2 cm FlaK 30 was brought into service in the middle of the nineteen-thirties and became the basic light anti-aircraft weapon of the German armed forces. The later FlaK 38 came from the same caliber, but thanks to changes to the mechanism it had a higher rate of fire and quicker handling. Both weapons stood on a cruciform carriage, fired from box magazines and were used against low-flying targets as well as against ground targets. For a move the whole weapon was drawn up onto the Sd.Ah.51 trailer, which was towed behind trucks and half-track vehicles.
The barrel, the carriage and the wheels are very small in this scale, so work with a sharp knife, tweezers and good lighting. Try the assembly out dry first. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. The gun stands out when you bring the base shade up with a lighter cast on the edges and darken the recesses of the carriage instead. The wheels and the underside of the trailer will take more noticeable dust and mud.
