1:72 Focke-Wulf Fw-190 F-8 in Hungarian Service

Focke-Wulf Fw 190 F-8 in Hungarian service 1:72 - decals from SBS Model

A decal sheet from the Hungarian maker SBS Model with the markings of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 F-8 ground attack aircraft used by the Hungarian Air Force. It is not a kit - the sheet serves to finish an Fw 190 F-8 model in 1:72 scale in a less usual and historically interesting form.

The real subject

The Fw 190 F-8 was the ground attack variant of the famous German fighter, adapted for the direct support of ground troops - with a BMW 801 radial engine, additional armor and racks for bombs. The Hungarian Air Force received these machines in the final phase of the Second World War and deployed them against ground targets on the Eastern Front. The Hungarian Fw 190s carried national insignia and tactical markings, which this sheet covers.

Use

• Apply the decals over a gloss surface so that no air is trapped beneath them
• Use setting solutions so that the decals settle into the engraved lines
• Once dry, overcoat with varnish to suit the finish you have chosen (matte or satin)
• Check the position of the markings in advance against period photographs

Who the decals are for

For modelers who want to build an Fw 190 F-8 in an unconventional Hungarian form - whether they collect the air forces of the smaller Axis states or are building a collection of Fw 190 variants. The sheet is in 1:72 scale and suits the commonly available kits of this type.

The sheet contains decals only; the aircraft kit is not included in the package.
