1:72 Focke-Wulf Fw-58 B/C Nachtschlacht Conversion Set is the basic conversion set for the night ground-attack form of the twin-engined Weihe. It serves to rework a part-built plastic kit and is not a model in its own right.

While the other items in this line concentrate on individual pieces of armament, this one offers the conversion as a whole. It is aimed at both the B and the C versions and opens up the build of a machine as it served with the night ground-attack units. The package supplements a plastic kit, which has to be bought separately.
The Nachtschlachtgruppen came about mainly on the Eastern Front, and their task was to disrupt the enemy's movement at night, destroy depots and prevent rest. The machines meant for that did not have to be fast; what mattered more was the ability to stay in the air for a long time and to carry a small load of bombs. That is exactly why older twin-engined types such as the Fw 58, which were no longer good enough elsewhere, found their way into these units.
Read the whole instruction sheet of the base kit and think through at which stage the accessory parts are fitted. With conversions, work on the interior that is discovered too late is hard to put right. Once a sub-assembly is glued in, leave it overnight so that the joint cures fully. The difference in color between the new and the original surfaces is evened out by a primer coat, which at the same time reveals any remaining file marks.
