A set of accurately cast resin barrels for the onboard weapons for the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190A fighter in 1:72 scale. It is an aftermarket detail part that replaces the coarser or thick-walled plastic barrels from a base kit with thinner and more faithful parts. It is not a stand-alone aircraft model but an accessory for the armament.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190A was a German single-seat fighter of the Second World War with a BMW 801 radial engine, valued among pilots for its ruggedness, its strong armament and its good handling. The versions of the A series carried a combination of machine guns and cannon in the nose and in the wings. Thin, accurately cast barrels give the armament of a finished model a more delicate and more faithful look than thicker plastic parts.
Resin parts call for more careful work than plastic: first wash the mold release residue off them, separate them carefully from the casting block and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The thin barrels are fragile, so separate them carefully. Protect your airways when sanding. The guns come into their own once painted in a metal shade with the muzzles brought out finely.
The part is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and a base kit are not included in the package unless stated otherwise.
