A resin propeller Fw 190D-9 1:72 is an add-on casting set from the maker Quickboost for a more faithful rendering of the propeller.
Responsibility details are not available.
This add-on set from the maker Quickboost (the resin division of the Czech company Aires) is not a model but a replacement resin propeller for models of the German fighter Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9 in 1:72 scale. The casting offers a more accurate blade profile than plastic propellers usually have.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9, nicknamed Dora, was a high-performance fighter of the end of the Second World War with a lengthened nose and an inverted V engine. The propeller is a prominent feature at the front of a model; plastic blades tend to be thick and with an inaccurate taper. A resin propeller brings a finer and more faithful shape, closer to the real profile of the blades.
Wash the parts free of release agent and carefully cut the casting blocks off. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), and sand with respiratory protection. Paint the propeller blades and add the warning stripes at the tips, and bring the hub out with a metallic shade.
An add-on resin set, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
