This item is not a kit of the aircraft but an accessory set for a model. It holds replacement landing gear wheels in resin in 1:72 scale for the Focke-Wulf Fw 190D fighter. In a small scale the wheels are one of the few places where a refinement of detail shows at first glance — a resin casting will carry a sharper tread pattern on the tire and a finer division of the hub, which is usually simplified in an injection mold.
The Fw 190D is a later development branch of the Fw 190 fighter. Compared with the earlier versions with a radial engine it received the liquid-cooled inverted V12 Junkers Jumo 213, and the lengthened nose and rear part of the airframe go with that. It was produced in series at the close of the Second World War.
Before the build, wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent, so that the release agent is removed. Cut the casting block off with a fine saw and level the area with a file — in 1:72 scale very little is enough for the shape to be lost. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a thin primer on before painting; the transition between the hub and the tire is best dealt with in this scale by a circular mask or by careful work with a brush.
It is an accessory for a kit you have already bought, not a model in its own right. Paints, glue and the basic kit are not included in the package.
