An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Gloster Gauntlet Mk.II biplane fighter in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer AZ model. This edition differs from the basic boxing in its decal sheet, which offers less usual marking options, including foreign users of the aircraft.
The Gloster Gauntlet was a British single-seat biplane fighter of the interwar period. Besides the RAF it also served with other air arms, among them in Finland and Australia, where it acquired interesting and colorful period markings. The Mk.II version was the last open-cockpit biplane fighter in British service.
On a biplane, take care to align the upper wing and the struts accurately; a jig for the build pays off. Taut bracing wires add realism. Use thin cement for plastic, a primer and period schemes according to the markings you choose.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
