A waterslide decal sheet in 1:72 scale meant for models of the Gloster Meteor jet aircraft in the F.8 version, including machines converted for target towing. The sheet offers markings for particular aircraft and completes a model with national insignia, codes and lettering. The printing is crisp, in accurate register and with a thin carrier film.
The Gloster Meteor was the first British jet fighter to enter service and the only Allied jet aircraft used in combat in the Second World War. The F.8 version was a postwar day fighter with a lengthened fuselage and a revised tail. Some of the machines were later converted into tugs for gunnery practice.
Clear-coat the surface under the decal with gloss varnish to prevent silvering. On the prominent stripes of the target-towing machines, watch that they line up exactly. Let the decal soften in lukewarm water, slide it into place and press it down; softeners will help. Finally go over it with matte or satin varnish.
