A masking set in 1:72 scale for the model of the British Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIc fighter aircraft. Pre-cut shapes make a sharp separation of color easier.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Hurricane Mk.IIc was a British single-seat fighter aircraft of the Second World War, powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 engine. The letter c in the designation refers to an armament of four 20 mm cannons in the wing, that is to heavier weapons than the older machine-gun versions carried. The fuselage was still built on a tubular framework with a covering, thanks to which it was durable and easy to repair. Machines of this version also flew night and attack sorties over occupied territory.
Pre-cut masking elements in the shape of the frames and areas that are to stay free of paint during spraying. You therefore do not have to trace or cut anything out. The exact extent of the set, that is whether it covers only the cockpit canopy or the wheels and other places as well, and which kit it is cut for, is stated in the instructions of the manufacturer.
Stick the mask onto a clean and degreased surface before spraying. Press the edges down carefully with a toothpick or a blunt wooden stick, because that is where paint gets underneath. Spray several thin coats instead of one heavy one, otherwise a ridge will form at the edge and stay visible even after the mask has been taken off. Take the elements off with tweezers soon after the paint has dried and pull them back over themselves, not straight away from the surface, so the edge of the coat is not torn. Wipe adhesive residue away with a cloth lightly moistened with spirit, avoiding fresh paint while doing so.
The kit of the aircraft, paints and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
