A set of precisely cast resin exhausts for the German twin-engine Heinkel He 111 bomber in the P-2 version, 1:72 scale. It is an aftermarket detail part with drilled outlets that replaces the coarser plastic exhausts from the base kit. It is not a stand-alone airplane model, but an accessory.
The Heinkel He 111 was a German twin-engine bomber of the Second World War, easily recognized by its glazed nose. The P series was powered by liquid-cooled Daimler-Benz DB 601 engines. On liquid-cooled engines the exhausts are among the conspicuous details along the sides of the engine nacelles, and a faithful rendering of them with drilled outlets lifts the level of a finished model.
Resin parts call for more careful work than plastic: first wash them free of mold release residue, separate them carefully from the casting block and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Protect your airways while sanding. The exhausts come out once painted in metallic rusty shades and gently brought out with pigments or a wash.
The part is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
