JASDF F-4EJ 306th Squadron, A.C.M. Meet 82 from the Japanese maker FineMolds is a plastic kit of a fighter aircraft in 1:72.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the twin-engined F-4EJ fighter in service with the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, in 1:72. The boxing is tied to a machine of the 306th Squadron from a competitive meet of tactical units in 1982, which makes it a release aimed at particular markings. The maker is the Japanese company FineMolds, known for the careful breakdown of its molds and for exact panel line engraving.
The F-4EJ is the Japanese license version of the two-seat F-4E fighter, built for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force by the domestic aircraft industry. Against the American original it differed in equipment adapted to Japanese requirements for the defense of their own airspace. The machines served with a number of squadrons for several decades. Competitive meets of tactical units were regular exercises for which flying units often prepared machines with special, more conspicuous markings, and it is exactly such examples that modelers are fond of.
Separate the parts with nippers and level the sprue remnants with a file; fill the seams on the fuselage and sand them down. Finish the cockpit and the landing gear bays before closing the fuselage. Mask the cockpit glazing so that it stays clean. Spray primer, then the base shades with an airbrush. Lay a gloss clear coat under the decals, use a decal softener once it has dried and finally bring the whole model together with a matte or semi-matte clear coat. Pull the panel lines out with a thin wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
