An injection-molded plastic kit of the modern South Korean KAI KF-21 Boramae fighter in 1:72 scale by Academy. The model captures the latest twin-engine fighter with canards and angular air intakes. The package offers a clear canopy, a detailed interior, the option of building the landing gear extended or retracted, a stand for displaying the model in flight and markings for several prototypes.
The KAI KF-21 Boramae is a modern twin-engine multirole fighter of the 4.5 generation developed by the Korean company Korea Aerospace Industries for the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF), with Indonesia taking part in the project as well. The name Boramae means young hawk. The aircraft is marked by a combination of conventional design and features reducing its radar signature, and it is one of the most closely watched aviation programs of today.
Use thin cement for plastic and finish the cockpit with the ejection seat before you close up the fuselage. Mask the canopy glazing. Apply a primer before painting and spray the colors with an airbrush; modern gray schemes come to life with restrained panel highlighting. Decide in advance whether you will build the model on the ground with the landing gear extended, or on the stand in the flight configuration.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
