The Aber photo-etched set 1:48 for the SU-122 tank destroyer — vol. 1, the basic set, is a group of brass parts for refining a model of the Soviet self-propelled gun. It is an accessory for a build, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A basic photo-etched set from the Polish manufacturer Aber in 1:48 scale intended for models of the Soviet SU-122 self-propelled gun. The set contains the main body of the additional detail and forms the base that the other sets of the line follow on from. It is not a kit but an added detail accessory for a build.
The SU-122 was a Soviet self-propelled assault gun built on the proven chassis of the T-34 tank. A 122 mm M-30 howitzer, intended to destroy fortifications and support infantry, was mounted in a fixed superstructure above the hull. The machine was deployed in large numbers from 1943.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife or photo-etch scissors and make the bends on a bending tool. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or epoxy; degrease the brass before painting and spray it with a primer. Working with photo-etched parts suits more experienced modelers.
This is an accessory, not the model itself. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
