Kh-29TD — a short-range guided air-to-ground missile, 1:72 is a resin armament set from Advanced Modeling. It is not an aircraft kit but a heavy underwing weapon for completing a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin detail accessory, not an airplane model. It contains the guided air-to-ground missile Kh-29TD in 1:72 scale, meant to be hung under the wing of a model of a suitable carrier. Among tactical missiles the Kh-29 is strikingly massive, so on a model it works as a pronounced element and a quality rendering of it pays off. The resin casting has no longitudinal seam and carries sharply drawn control fins and lifting surfaces. The exact number of pieces and parts is not stated here; the manufacturer's part number is AMPC-72235.
The Kh-29 is a Soviet tactical guided air-to-ground missile with a heavy warhead, intended against resistant point targets such as fortified works, bridges, shelters or large vessels. The family divides according to the method of guidance: the version with the T index uses a television homing head, where the operator aims at the target on a screen and the missile then holds it by itself. The TD rendering corresponds to a modernized television head. Its characteristic features are a short, strong body, large lifting surfaces and a pronounced optical head at the front.
Wash the casting in lukewarm soapy water, cut the casting block off with a fine-toothed saw and sand the area to shape; when sanding resin, protect your airways. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Painting: primer, a base shade for the body, the front optical head set apart and colored bands according to the documentation. You can imitate the window of the head with a dark base and a drop of gloss clear. Bring out the roots of the lifting surfaces and the transitions between sections with a thin wash. The missile is heavy — better strengthen the joint with the rack using a wire pin.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and a base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
