Peewit Ki-61 II Kai 1:72 are precise self-adhesive painting masks for clean masking of the canopy glazing and the wheels of this Japanese Kawasaki fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive painting masks made of thin washi (kabuki) tape from the Czech manufacturer Peewit. It allows fast and clean masking of the canopy glazing and the wheels when spraying with an airbrush or with a brush. The masks follow the shape of the part well, they hold along the engraved edges and they leave no adhesive residue when removed. They are cut to fit the Ki-61-II Kai variant in 1:72 scale.
The Kawasaki Ki-61-II Kai was a developmentally more advanced version of the Japanese Army Ki-61 Hien fighter (Allied code name Tony). It received a more powerful engine and a modified airframe in order to improve its performance at greater altitudes. The machine was deployed in the closing phase of the war, among other things in the defense of Japanese territory.
For modelers who want sharp paint transitions on the canopy and the wheels without the lengthy cutting of tape. The set saves time and improves the cleanliness of the finished paintwork.
These are painting masks, not a model. The paints, the glue and the kit are not included in the package.
