An add-on set with German hand grenades from the period of the Second World War in 1:48 scale. This is a small accessory to a model, not a kit of a vehicle or an aircraft. It will find a use everywhere you can see into the machine or the scene: in an open fighting compartment, around figures, in a crate for cargo or loose on the ground beside a vehicle.
Small equipment is what gives a scene scale and life. An empty bed or a clean floor of a fighting compartment looks like a model, whereas a few pieces of kit laid aside turn the same place into a space where somebody has been working. In 1:48 scale such a detail is already clearly apparent, and at the same time it can be placed even where a larger accessory would be in the way.
Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap and let them dry perfectly. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder carefully, so that the shape is kept. Choose the way of gluing according to the material of the parts and according to the manufacturer's instructions; superglue will join even parts that glue for polystyrene does not work on. When painting, separate the body and the handle with a different shade, otherwise the whole piece merges into one stick, and bring the edges out with a dry brush.
