Injection-molded plastic kit of the Italian Leonardo M-345 jet trainer in 1:72 scale. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Leonardo M-345 is an Italian jet trainer with a single turbofan engine and a two-seat tandem cockpit. It serves for basic and advanced military pilot training, and it has a pressurized cabin, modern display equipment and ejection seats that work even on the ground. The Italian Air Force operates the aircraft as the T-345A and brought it into service to replace older trainers.
This is a classic injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale, meant to be glued and painted. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the particular color schemes and markings are given in the instructions enclosed with the box.
Dry-fit the parts first and only then glue them; with short-run kits that always pays off. Finish and paint the cockpit before you join the fuselage halves. Mask the canopy before spraying rather than after the paint has dried, otherwise the edge of the coat will not come out cleanly. The light finishes of trainers forgive very little, so sand the surfaces carefully with fine paper before the topcoat.
The kit will please modelers of modern military aircraft and collectors of trainers in 1:72 scale. Working with it assumes ordinary modeling tools and a little patience when cleaning up the parts. Paints, glue and accessories are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
