The masks make clean spraying of the cabin glazing easier and help with applying the two-color scheme in white and gray camouflage. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory that makes painting a finished kit easier.
The Lockheed S-3 Viking was a carrier-based anti-submarine and reconnaissance aircraft of the US Navy with a crew of four and two jet engines. It served from the decks of aircraft carriers from the 1970s and, besides hunting submarines, carried out patrol, in-flight refueling and electronic warfare duties. Light gray and white schemes were part of its typical look.
Lift the masks carefully off the backing film, lay them exactly on the glazing and press the edges down so that paint does not creep under the mask. Spray in thin coats and lift the mask off while the paint is still tacky. The camouflage pieces help to keep sharp transitions between the white and the gray areas. Wipe any adhesive residue away only once everything is dry.
This is a masking accessory, not a model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
