An injection-molded plastic kit of the McDonnell Douglas AV-8B Harrier II attack aircraft in 1:72 scale from the Polish manufacturer Aero Plast. The model is supplied as a set of hard polystyrene parts with clear cockpit parts and a decal sheet; individual packaging variants may differ in the number of schemes. It is intended for independent assembly, gluing and painting.
The AV-8B Harrier II is the second generation of the vertical and short take-off and landing (V/STOL) subsonic attack aircraft with a single vectored-thrust Rolls-Royce Pegasus engine whose nozzles allow vertical take-off and hovering. It came about through a thorough redesign of the British Harrier for the US Marine Corps and was also operated by further users for close air support of ground units.
Use liquid modeling cement for polystyrene on the plastic parts. A primer coat is recommended before painting, and an airbrush gives the best results on camouflage schemes. Assemble the rotating Pegasus nozzles and the external stores according to the chosen finish and scheme.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
