A sheet set of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale from the British maker Xtradecal. It brings markings for McDonnell Douglas Phantom FG.1 machines in British service. Meant for plastic models of the Phantom FG.1 in this scale; the kit and the paints are not included in the package.

The real subject

FG.1 is the British designation of the Phantom II (factory F-4K). It originally served with the Fleet Air Arm aboard an aircraft carrier and later went to the Royal Air Force in the air defense role. The machine was powered by Rolls-Royce Spey engines.

Use

• Cut the individual markings out with their edge and apply them over gloss varnish.
• After dipping it in lukewarm water, slide the decal into place and settle it, using softener if needed.
• Go over dried decals with matte or satin varnish.
