A decal sheet in 1:72 scale for a model of the British Gloster Meteor F.8 jet fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Gloster Meteor was the first British jet fighter used in action during the Second World War. The F.8 version was one of the postwar production standards and for several years formed the backbone of British fighter aviation; it also flew with other users. It is a twin-engined machine with the engines built into the wing.
A decal sheet in 1:72 scale for a model of the Meteor F.8. An overview of the schemes, their color artwork and the placement of the individual decals on the model are given in the instructions included in the package. The sheet is tied to the scale and to the version named; not all the items need fit another version of the Meteor.
Ordinary sheets are applied the wet way. Cut the decal off as close to the print as possible, soak it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest until it will slide off the backing. Apply it over a smooth gloss varnish, under which the carrier film disappears, and settle it with a decal softener. Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is a self-adhesive version; self-adhesive film is ruined for good once it has been soaked. Finally varnish the model to the degree of sheen you want.
For the modeler who wants to build a particular machine and is not content with the markings from the kit. A soft brush, cotton wool and a calm hand are useful when seating them on an uneven surface.
The package contains the decals and the instructions only. The model, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
