This 3D-printed resin set from 77propeller is not a stand-alone aircraft kit but a set of details for models of the MiG-21F-13 fighter in 1:72 scale. It contains a drop tank and the pylons, which replace the base plastic parts and raise the fidelity of the external stores. It is based on the dimensions of the Kovozavody Prostejov kit.
The MiG-21F-13 was the first production version of the famous Soviet supersonic fighter with a delta wing. As a day fighter it carried a centerline drop tank to extend its range and armament on the wing pylons. It was in service with a number of air forces from the end of the 1950s.
Separate the parts carefully from the print supports, wash them free of uncured resin residue and glue them with super glue. Before gluing, check the fit on the fuselage and the wing and fine-tune it by sanding with respiratory protection if needed. Resin holds paint well once a good primer has been sprayed on.
The set contains only the resin parts of the tank and the pylons; the aircraft model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
