Responsibility details are not available.
A figure set in 1:72 scale from the Red Box line focused on 16th century cavalry. The subtitle refers to the Siege of Kazan of 1552 and thus sets the dating of the equipment. The package is designated as set 1; set 2 with the same subtitle is sold separately. The figures are supplied unpainted.
Cavalry made up of holders of service estates turned out with equipment of their own, so armor and clothing differed within one group. Usual were mail or lamellar protection of the torso over a quilted kaftan, a cap or a helmet with a neck guard, and a combined armament: a bow with a quiver, a melee weapon, and on some of the riders a polearm. The saddle tended to be high, with short stirrups, which shows on the figures as a characteristic seat of the rider.
The horses make up the greater part of the area, so they decide the result. Do not mix the shades of the coats at random; pick three or four and distribute them across the group, so that the result comes across as one detachment and is still not monotonous. Make the transitions between the body, the mane and the lower part of the legs subdued, not contrasting. Paint from the bottom up and set the rider on the horse only once the saddle is finished. Go over the articulated straps with a thin brush in a shade darker than the horse's body. Before a decal or a wash, wait until the base is completely dry, otherwise the paint will bleed. Close the formation off with a matte varnish.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
