Pe-8/TB-7 - interior 3D decals 1:72 (Quinta Studio)

A set of three-dimensional decals for the interior of the Soviet four-engine Pe-8 bomber, formerly designated TB-7, in 1:72 scale. The elements have real relief and are printed on a backing decal paper: the part is cut out, dipped in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slid off the paper onto the plastic part. On a large bomber an accessory like this is especially useful, because the interior is intricate, the glazing extensive and the inside of the model is clearly visible through the canopy and the side positions. Painting is not needed; the elements are finished, including the printing of the instruments and the placards.

Use

• Follow the order of the build: transfer the elements for the rear parts of the fuselage before the fuselage halves are joined, otherwise you cannot reach them.
• Test every element dry first; on the long side panels check whether it clashes with the internal fuselage stiffeners.
• The elements have no adhesive layer of their own - degrease the surface with alcohol and go over it with a gloss coat (Future/Klear, Tamiya X-22), on which they hold best.
• Slide the element off the paper with smooth-jawed tweezers, as sharp jaws will dent the relief; on intricate places a drop of super glue helps.
• Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as the chemicals attack the printed resin. The roof and the sides are visible through the glazing too - do not skimp on shading the surrounding plastic.

This is an add-on set of 3D decals, not a kit. The base model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
