Su-15 (Flagon) turned pitot tubes 1:72 are optional parts for all versions and replace the plastic tubes from a kit with stronger metal parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set is not an aircraft model but a metal detail accessory for a kit of the Soviet Su-15 interceptor in 1:72 scale. It holds turned pitot (pressure) tubes as optional parts for all versions. Turned metal has a faithful shape and, above all, greater strength than the thin and easily broken plastic parts, which you will appreciate twice over in the small 1:72 scale.
The Su-15 was a Soviet twin-engine interceptor of the Cold War, deployed to defend airspace against intruders. It was a capable missile-armed interceptor guided by a ground control intercept system; the individual versions differed in the nose, the radar and the shape of the wing.
Cut off the plastic pressure tubes and replace them with the metal parts, ideally into pre-drilled holes. Bond with super glue. Fit the tubes only at the end of the build, so that they are not bent during handling and varnishing. Degrease the metal before painting.
The accessory requires a base kit; glue, paints and the model itself are not included in the package.
