An injection-molded plastic kit of the Hungarian 38M Toldi II light tank from IBG Models in 1:72 scale. The set offers a fine surface texture and faithful detail on the running gear and the hull. A plastic sprue and a decal sheet are in the package. The Toldi II is the improved variant of the basic Toldi.
The Toldi II was a Hungarian light tank of the Second World War, based on the Swedish Landsverk L-60 pattern. Compared with the Toldi I version it received thicker armor, while its armament in the form of a 20 mm automatic weapon and a coaxial machine gun stayed much the same. The vehicle was used for reconnaissance as well as infantry support. It was in effect a step-by-step strengthening of the toughness of an older light tank.
Assemble the running gear and the road wheels first, and only then close the hull. Use liquid cement on the plastic, treat the surface with a primer and lay the paints on with an airbrush. You will create mud and dust effects with pigments and washes on the underside of the vehicle.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
