1:72 Westland Lysander WWII (wet decals)

Westland Lysander 1:72 — Print Scale waterslide decals

The Westland Lysander set holds high-quality waterslide decals in 1:72 scale from Print Scale. This is not a kit; these are the decals alone, for marking and finishing your Lysander model.

The real subject

The Westland Lysander was a British high-wing monoplane with fixed landing gear intended for cooperation with ground troops, for reconnaissance and for liaison duties. It excelled in short takeoff and landing, which let it operate from small strips. It became famous above all for night clandestine flights into occupied Europe, on which it delivered and picked up agents. It carried the typical British wartime camouflage pattern.

How to use the waterslide decals

• Coat the area under the decal with a gloss varnish to limit silvering.
• Dip the decal briefly in lukewarm water and slide it onto the model.
• Use a decal softener so that it settles onto the uneven surface.
• Once dry, unify the surface with a matte varnish.

Who the set is for

• Modelers of British Second World War equipment in 1:72.
• Modelers interested in the markings of army cooperation and liaison aircraft.
• Those looking for better decals than the ones in the box.

The package holds decals only. The airplane model, paints and glue are not included.
