An aftermarket detail accessory from the Hungarian firm SBS Model, not a kit. The set combines resin and photo-etched parts (and metal wire) for models of the German airfield tanker truck Kfz.385 on the Opel Blitz chassis in 1:48 scale. The finely made parts of the tank and the equipment raise the detail of a finished model markedly over the plastic.
The Opel Blitz was the standard German truck of the Second World War, built in many purpose-built versions. The Kfz.385 version served as an aircraft refueling truck for fueling aircraft and is a rewarding subject for airfield dioramas.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and dry-fit them; bend the photo-etched parts over an edge and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Use the metal wire for a faithful run of the hoses and rods. We recommend completing the set with washes and pigments for faithful wear. Sand with respiratory protection.
The accessory is supplied as unpainted resin and photo-etched parts. Paints, glue and the kit are not included in the package.
