1:48 A photo-etched set of rigging wires for the Polikarpov I-153 Chaika biplane in stainless steel from SBS Model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detail accessory, not a model, made up of photo-etched stainless steel parts that replace the interplane rigging wires of the Polikarpov I-153 Chaika biplane in 1:48 scale. Flat photo-etch with a profile looks more faithful than tensioned fishing line or stretched sprue, and stainless steel holds its shape well.
The Polikarpov I-153 Chaika was a Soviet single-seat biplane fighter with a characteristic cranked gull-type upper wing and retractable landing gear. It was used at the turn of the 1930s and 1940s and in the opening stages of the Second World War.
Separate the parts carefully, clean them up and glue them on with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Measure the exact placement against the kit in advance; stainless photo-etch can be tensioned slightly so that the wires are not slack. Before the final coats, degrease and prime the metal.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
