Aber 1:48 set of 2 turned barrels for the German 7.92 mm MG 17 aircraft machine gun is a metal detail accessory that replaces the plastic barrels with a fine brass part.
Responsibility details are not available.
A metal detail accessory from the Polish company Aber, not an aircraft model. The package contains two turned metal barrels of the German 7.92 mm MG 17 aircraft machine gun at 1:48 scale. A metal barrel replaces the plastic one and gives the weapon fine, precisely symmetrical detail with no parting seams.
The MG 17 was the standard German 7.92 mm aircraft machine gun of the Second World War. It was fitted in the fuselage and the wings of a number of fighters, the Bf 109 and the Fw 190 among them. Faithful barrels will therefore improve the look of many German aircraft.
Cut off the plastic barrels, drill holes into the parts and glue the metal barrels in with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the metal before painting and coat it with a primer. The metal parts can also be soldered if needed. In 1:48 scale these are small parts, so tweezers are recommended.
This is a finishing accessory for a plastic model. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
