An injection-molded plastic kit of the American AH-64A Apache attack helicopter in 1:72 scale from Academy. The package contains parts in dark plastic, clear glazing and a decal sheet. The model is distinguished by a well-worked cockpit and detailed rendering of the main rotor head.
The AH-64 Apache is an American two-seat attack helicopter that entered series production in 1983. The AH-64A version is armed with Hellfire anti-tank guided missiles, a rapid-firing 30 mm cannon and pods of unguided rockets. Its characteristic look comes from the sensor assembly in the nose that allows night fighting. The Apache earned a reputation as a feared destroyer of armor during the fighting in the Persian Gulf.
We recommend spraying the dark plastic with a primer before painting, so that the final shades cover faithfully. Join the parts with thin modeling cement. Finish the cockpit before closing the fuselage. Apply the matte green or gray paint with an airbrush and lighten the edges gently. A gloss coat compatible with the paint makes applying the decals easier.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
