A Mr.Paint modeling paint in the light blue Soviet aircraft shade designated A II G. It is supplied ready to spray with an airbrush.
Responsibility details are not available.
The designation A II G belongs to a light blue tone from the Soviet range of aircraft finishes. Light blue always had a clear role in aircraft camouflage: it belonged on the undersides, where a machine seen from below should blend with the sky. On a model it is a shade that shows mainly through contrast, because against dark upper surfaces and against the shadows in the landing gear bays it looks very light. Under the white light of a display case it is easily blown out, so it is worth watching how it looks in ordinary daylight too.
Mr.Paint is a lacquer type paint intended for an airbrush. It comes already at spraying consistency, so it usually does not need to be thinned further. It dries quickly and forms a thin, smooth layer that does not clog fine surface relief. The range is not suited to brush application, since the strokes show through into the quickly drying film.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom. Wash and degrease the surface of the model. Light shades have lower covering power, so apply them in several thin coats and expect a dark base to show through for longer. Mask the boundary between the lower and the upper color only after it has dried completely, otherwise the tape will pull the film away. Tune the pressure and any thinning to your own gun and to the instructions from the manufacturer. Clean the gun immediately after work with thinner for lacquers.
One bottle of paint is supplied. Thinner, primer, a final varnish and tools are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
