AMT-1 Light Brown 17 ml.

Real Colors RC974 AMT-1 Light Brown, 17 ml

A modeling paint from the Real Colors range by AK Interactive, carried under the manufacturer's part number RC974. The bottle holds 17 ml. The shade is a light brown and carries the designation AMT-1. The abbreviation AMT belongs to the Soviet matte aircraft lacquers of the Second World War, whose series gave their names to most of the camouflage tones of the day.

Where you will use the shade

A light brown appears in Soviet camouflage on the upper surfaces as a partner to the green, with which it forms a two-color division of the fuselage and the wings. The natural place for it is therefore a model of an Eastern Front aircraft, where the brown field blends into the green in soft transitions. The shade also suits painting vehicles, crates and the earth surface of dioramas, where it stands in for dried-out soil.

How to work with the paint

• Stir the contents thoroughly before you draw any out; the pigment settles to the bottom and without stirring the shade is off.
• Lay it on in several thin coats and let them dry between one another; one heavy coat will flood the engraved surface detail.
• Run the soft transitions between the fields of camouflage at low pressure and from close in, so that the edges do not go grainy.
• For thinning and for cleaning, use the thinner meant for the Real Colors range; the ratio is given by the manufacturer's instructions.
• Try the shade beforehand on a piece of scrap plastic, not straight on the model.
• Close the bottle carefully after work, as open paint thickens.

Storage and packaging

Store the paint in a closed bottle away from heat and frost. Paint that has thickened can be thinned, but check the resulting tone on a test sample.

The package holds one bottle of paint of 17 ml. Thinner, brushes, an airbrush and a model are not included, unless stated otherwise.
