A trio of acrylics for the Australian disruptive pattern: camouflage green, brown and black in 17 ml bottles.
Responsibility details are not available.
Australian equipment and gear have carried a distinctive disruptive pattern since the 1980s, one that differs from European schemes in its soft blotches and a fairly dark base. The three colors in this package are exactly the ones that make the pattern up: camouflage green, camouflage brown and black.
The order of application is usually the customary one, from the top down according to the share of the surface. The green covers the largest part of the surface, the brown blotches are laid over it in irregular shapes and the black stays on the narrowest strips, which break the pattern up. The blotches should have a soft edge, so an airbrush at low pressure or a thin masking putty with a soft edge pays off.
The volume of a bottle is 17 ml and the binder is acrylic, thinned with water. The black shade in the package is the same tone that the manufacturer uses in other national sets under a different designation, so once the remaining two colors have been bought it serves outside the Australian theme as well.
The trio suits wheeled armored vehicles, off-road cars and trucks of the Australian army in 1:35 scale just as well as the smaller 1:72. It also finds a use on the gear of figures and on vehicle tarpaulins, where the same scatter continues. The set is one of the three-bottle packages in this range, where the six-color sets have twice as many bottles, but for the scheme itself the contents are complete.
Anyone building a whole group of vehicles will appreciate that the shades can be mixed with each other to give slightly different batches of paint.
