Brady Fox (Type G) is a kit of a combat machine from the world of Kyoukai Senki by the manufacturer Bandai. The Type G designation in the name distinguishes the particular variant of the machine; the manufacturer also issues the basic Brady Fox version. The model is snap-fit: the parts are molded in color, nipped off the sprues and clicked together, so to finish it you need neither glue nor paints.
Kyoukai Senki, also given under the name Amaim Warrior at the Borderline, is a Japanese mecha series in which piloted combat machines stand against one another. Brady Fox is one of the machines that appear in it, and the Type G designation distinguishes its variant. The models of this range rest on an articulated inner frame with armor fitted over it, so the finished machine holds a pose and can be rearmed with add-on sets.
Nip the parts off a little way from the molding and level the sprue nub with a sharp blade in two passes; with pre-colored plastic you thereby prevent a light burr. The build goes quickly, but even so we recommend proceeding by sub-assemblies and checking as you go whether a joint holds a pose. The model is lifted a great deal by bringing out the engraved lines with a weathering paint and by a matte varnish at the end, which unifies the gloss of the individual colors of plastic. When spraying, if you do, use a primer and preferably acrylic paints; a strong lacquer thinner can set off hairline cracks in thin parts under tension.
