A set of eight tones for the helicopters of the British Army Air Corps from the seventies to the present day. It covers the older olive and black camouflage, the newer gray and green combination and the desert improvisation of the operation in the Persian Gulf.
Responsibility details are not available.
The British ground army has a flying arm of its own and its machines developed differently in color from the aircraft of the Royal Air Force. From the seventies to the nineties they carried an olive green finish divided by black fields. Then the change was to a different green and finally to a pair of sea grays, which the newest type in service wears today as well. One short episode broke into this: before the campaign in the Persian Gulf in 1991 the Lynx and Gazelle machines were given a desert finish in haste right at the units.
The package puts color on the Scout, the Gazelle AH.1, the Lynx AH.7, the Bell 212 and the Wildcat AH.1, which carries the gray pair together with the naval examples. The last tone belongs to the Apache attack helicopter in British service, whose overall finish comes from the American army standard.
Helicopter models tend to have large flat surfaces of the fuselage and long rotor blades, where every unevenness in the coat shows. The acrylic Blue Line can be atomized very finely, so the transition between the green and the black can be done even without a stencil, with lowered pressure and distance alone.
