The shade refers to the British BS 381C standard, in which it has number 626 and is listed under the names Camouflage Grey and Barley Grey. BS 381C is an established list of British shades that building instructions and color supplements refer to, so the number tells you which tone it is regardless of what each manufacturer calls it. Gray tones of this group go with British military vehicles and aircraft.
It is a Hataka paint from the Orange Line range. Shades of one range get on well with each other, so it pays to keep a whole model within one range and not to mix them with products with a different binder.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before use, otherwise the settled pigments stay at the bottom and the shade comes out lighter. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging; there is no universal ratio and a foreign thinner can curdle the paint. Spray in several thin coats and let the surface set between them; a single heavy coat fills in the engraving and wipes out the detail. Wash and degrease the model before painting, and a base of filler primer is recommended, on which the shade comes out evenly.
The thinner, brushes and the model are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The volume of the package and the recommended thinning are given by the manufacturer on the packaging.
