First, who this item is aimed at: it suits above all the modeler who has a model of the American Curtiss P-40 fighter on the bench or on the plan and wants something printed about the real subject within reach. It is a volume from the Kagero book series devoted to aviation. The designation vol. I places it at the beginning of the topic, and the name also says that this is the version without decals.
The Curtiss P-40 was a single-seat, single-engine all-metal fighter, recognizable at a glance by its long slim nose with a liquid-cooled V12 engine and by the distinctive radiator under the fuselage. It came from a reworking of an earlier type by the same maker, which had a radial engine, and it was built in a long run of sub-variants differing in powerplant and in airframe details. It served with a great many countries, which makes it a type with an unusually wide range of possible finishes.
This is a printed publication, not a kit and not a modeling accessory. Check the page count and the language of the edition in the imprint of the publication.
