It is neither a kit nor an accessory for one particular car – it is material that replaces the vague raised lumps on the plastic with the real shape of a screw. The package carries 700 parts: 7 sizes of a hundred pieces each, in the 0.5 to 1.2 mm range. The parts are made by 3D printing, so they have a clean head with no parting line. The figure in the name is the size of the part in millimeters, not a scale.

How this set differs

This is the version with a washer. The manufacturer also lists a comparable set without a washer in the same range of sizes, under the part number DCL-PAR138 – so compare the part number. What distinguishes this set is the washer under the head. The manufacturer runs a whole range of fasteners in which the individual sets differ only in the type of head and the range of sizes, so before buying compare the manufacturer's part number, not just the name.

Use

• Pick the part up with tweezers, pieces this small get lost in your fingers
• Pre-drill a hole in the plastic to the diameter of the shank and seat the part in it
• Glue with cyanoacrylate glue, ordinary cement for plastic will not bond these parts
• Lay down a primer before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold
• Choose the size from a photograph of the machine you are building
