A modeling paint in the Dark Ghost Grey shade after the FS 36320 standard, from the Orange Line range by Hataka.
Responsibility details are not available.
Dark Ghost Grey is a medium to darker gray from the American Federal Standard, where you will find it under the number 36320. It forms the darker half of the pair of grays with which American combat aircraft have been sprayed since the 1980s: the darker tone lies on the spine and on the vertical surfaces, the lighter one on the sides and underneath. The aim of such a finish is not to blend with the landscape but to blur the outline of the machine against the sky, so that its position and type are harder to judge from a distance.
It suits models of jet combat aircraft of the more recent era and everywhere a gray with neither a blue nor a brown cast is wanted. It also comes into its own on small items such as pylons, drop tanks and covers, which usually share the shade of the fuselage. Always judge the exact tone by the standard and the label, not by a picture on a screen, and reckon with a sprayed surface looking different from the paint in the pot.
The paint itself is supplied. Thinner, brushes, the model and varnish are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
