Responsibility details are not available.
A modeling paint from the Real Colors range by AK with the manufacturer's part number RC056. The German word Dunkelbraun means dark brown, and the number in the designation points to the German RAL system of shades. It is a deep, low-saturation brown of the kind that appears on military vehicles and that on a model holds the role of an overall or camouflage color, not of a striking accent.
Brown shades of this kind are used as part of multi-color camouflage schemes, where they form the dark stripes and patches over a lighter surface. Besides that they suit wooden parts, crates and tarpaulins, the leather straps of figures and the lower reaches of the running gear, where a fresh brown would look far too new. Thinned down into a light glaze it serves to darken corners and seams, where a plain color would look too even.
Shake the bottle properly before use, as dark pigments settle at the bottom. The paint is made mainly for an airbrush; with a brush lay it on in thin strokes. Thin it with the thinner meant for this range and go over the area in two or three light coats, letting the surface flash off between them. If you spray the shade as camouflage patches, lower the pressure and hold the nozzle closer, and the edges will stay soft. Pull a gloss clear coat over the area under decals, and pull the finished model together with a matte one.
For modelers of military vehicles who need a dark brown for camouflage or for wood and straps. Thinner, primer, clear coats and other paints are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
