HEKI Alder 18 cm, 6 pcs is a set of six mature trees for growth by water.
Responsibility details are not available.
Six finished model trees from the German maker HEKI, eighteen centimeters tall. The alder is a species tied to damp ground: it grows in the floodplains of streams and rivers, on waterlogged meadows and around ponds, where it forms continuous belts. Six pieces of the same height in one box is therefore a logical make-up, because alder growth really does look like a row of similarly tall trees along a watercourse.
The trees are pushed into a pre-drilled hole or glued by the foot of the trunk. Set them along the line of the watercourse at irregular spacing but without large gaps, as an alder belt tends to be dense. Add taller grass and reeds under the trees, because there is no mown lawn in a floodplain. Spread the flattened crowns carefully with your fingers after unpacking and vary the heights slightly by tilting the tree rather than by shortening the trunk.
For builders of layouts and dioramas with water features and for modelers who need several trees of the same height for continuous growth. The set can also be split and some of the trees used elsewhere, because the alder is a general enough species to hold up away from a water scene too. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
